Honey harvest with Bees for Development Ethiopia
Photo Gallery
In Amhara, the main honey harvest occurs in November. In the images below you will see some of the beekeepers who have been trained by Bees for Development Ethiopia. The demand for good quality honey is high and beekeepers are enjoying exceptionally good market prices at present. The bees make the honey, the beekeepers get the money. And this money is essential to buy food, clothes, mend houses and pay-off debts. Honey really does offer some of the poorest people a real chance to improve their lives and make sure their children are well fed, clothed and educated.
This project is supported by Rowse Honey through their Hives for Lives campaign.
