Indigenous communities in the Peruvian Amazon often rely heavily on small-scale farming for income, requiring them to clear land.
Stingless beekeeping creates income without forest loss, empowering communities to protect their environment.
We are fundraising so that we can:
🐝 Support 200 people to develop sustainable livelihoods through stingless beekeeping
🌟 Train Indigenous Stingless Bee Champions in three regions of Peru
🍯 Develop local and national markets for stingless bee products
🌳 Protect stingless bees and their habitats
📚 Engage schools and young people through stingless bee education

Miceala’s story
Miceala Humman is an Asháninka indigenous leader, stingless beekeeper, and mother of twin boys. Living in the Peruvian Amazon, she keeps stingless bees both as a source of income and for their medicinal honey, deeply rooted in Asháninka culture.
Through beekeeping, Miceala has grown into a confident community leader. She trains and shares knowledge with other women in informal settings, supporting them to earn an income while protecting the forest.

With your donations, we will support 200 people in three regions of Peru to develop non-extractive livelihoods through stingless beekeeping.
