The specialist international beekeeping organisation

Cashew Trees and Bees

6th May 2020
Bees for Development
Ghana is running an innovative project to help subsistence cashew growers to become beekeepers, enabling them to harvest more and better quality cashew nuts, and with a bonus crop of honey too. This helps people earn extra income through harvesting and selling their honey, and increases their cashew yield through pollination. It benefits cashew farmers, their families, and others around them. We'll be extending this project to citrus growers in another part of Ghana in 2020.
We'd like to thank Neal's Yard Remedies for their long-tern support of this project, with funds raised though their Bee Lovely campaign.
Meet just a few of the people who have benefited from the project recently.
