Bee Garden Party in Marlborough House Gardens on July 1st

We are pleased to announce that we raised a fantastic £28,000 for the work of Bees for Development.  This makes the Bee Garden Party the largest and most successful event that we have ever organised, thanks to our marvellous supporters and volunteers, Patrons and Trustees.

With this generous support we will be able to help many families and individuals in the world’s poorest countries to practise simple and profitable beekeeping.  The funds raised at The Bee Garden Party will be used for training work in North West Ethiopia.  Beekeeping helps the people there to meet essential daily needs, provides a brighter future with secured income, while all the time safeguarding their precious local bee populations and environment.

In particular we thank Trust Patrons Martha Kearney for her committed involvement in organising and hosting the event, and Bill Turnbull for his superlative auctioneering skills - raising thousands of pounds.  The Vodafone Foundation, Rowse Honey and E H Thorne (Beehives) Ltd provided major sponsorship, while many generous individuals and companies provided super prizes for the night.  Sincere thanks to everyone involved.
