This one-day training is designed for people or organisations with interest to use beekeeping and honey and beeswax trade to alleviate poverty. It is not a hands-on course about bees. We cover the different species of bees that are utilised world-wide, and introduce a range of topics concerning beekeeping in developing countries. 

Training day topics include: 

  • Apiculture in developing countries and how it supports livelihoods 
  • Problems faced by beekeepers in financially poor countries 
  • Appropriate and sustainable - issues of technology choice 
  • An introduction to honey marketing and trade 
  • Case studies: success stories from around the world

The Course cost is £120 which includes lunch, refreshments and VAT
