Studies were made at Lyallpur, Pakistan, to determine the effect of insect pollinators, mostly Apis dorsata and A. florea, on the fruit set and matured, and on the physical and chemical properties of Kinnow mandarin (Citrus reticulata). Significantly more fruit set and matured on branched accessible to insect pollinators than where insects repelled or excluded. Effects of fruit size, juice content and the number of seeds were also significant, but not acidity, or sugar and total soluble solids.
