EastWest Innovation (EWI) Uganda Limited was founded in 2001 with the aim to develop the Ugandan honey trade to help it become a viable source of income for rural farmers. Today our honey is a recognised as high quality, pure honey, and has been certified as meeting the European Commisions Food Safety Standard since 2005 until the present day.
Uganda Honey ensures that beekeeping is as organic and sustainable as possible. Bees from each colony - of about 60,000 bees - roam a 3 km radius from the hive. All honey shipped can be traced to its location of origin by the reference number of the product. The location of the organisations beekeepers in Uganda can be seen via a map found on the Uganda Honey website, along with other useful information such as how they train their beekeepers, testimonials from clients and additional information about honey products.
