The specialist international beekeeping organisation
Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago
We are the Association of Caribbean Beekeeping Associations. We have a long-standing working relationship with Bees for Development who have provided us with steadfast support ever since our establishment.
We cooperate with Bees for Development to deliver an excellent series of Caribbean Beekeeping Congresses.
At a meeting of Caribbean beekeepers in Jamaica on 18th September 2002, during the Third Caribbean Beekeeping Congress, ACBO was established. Thereafter, two resolutions were unanimously passed, the first established ACBO as the recognised body representing Caribbean beekeepers. The second established an expanded Steering Committee comprised of representatives from Antigua, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands , Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Nevis and Tobago, to guide the activities of ACBO based on approved documents outlining its goal, objectives, structure and work programme.
