Strengthening livelihoods by means of beekeeping - an introduction

A Bees for Development Training Day where
we will introduce a range of topics about
beekeeping in developing countries

The programme will be of relevance to NGOs and individuals who have an interest in beekeeping as a means to build sustainable livelihoods, and would like to find out more.

Training Day topics
· Apiculture in developing countries and how it supports livelihoods
· An introduction to problems faced by beekeepers in poor countries
· Appropriate and sustainable- when local style beekeeping beats modern” methods
· An introduction to honey marketing and trade
· Case studies: Success stories from around the world

There will be plenty of time for questions and discussions

The price for the whole day including lunch and refreshments is £100 (VAT included)
