We accept articles and short reports on new or improved beekeeping techniques, information about your country, and your events. We welcome your comments and responses to articles we have published.
Our aim is to publish as much information in BfD Journal as we can. If it is not possible to include your submission we may place it on our website. All the information material that we receive is added to our databank on beekeeping worldwide. You will see many examples of previously published articles throughout our Information Centre.
Articles should be 800-1,600 words in length and where possible accompanied by images.
Submission of articles
Text - Items can be sent by post or email as text or attachments in Word or .pdf format. Please make sure you fully explain any local terminology for the benefit of our international readership.
Images - We accept colour prints and digital images, saved as individual .jpg, .jpeg or .tif files. The size and resolution at which digital images are saved may make the difference between whether we publish or not. Digital images can be enlarged only by a few percent so images sized for website use are unlikely to be published. For best results send a copy of the original image in the form and at the size it was created by the camera.
