AAA was established in 1992 to encourage friendly exchange of information between beekeepers and bee scientists in Asia. A Conference is held every two years and in March 2006 the Conference took place in Western Australia.
AAA News
Bees for Development acknowledges the continued support of Professor Matsuo Matsuka, who retired as AAA President at the Conference, and sends congratulations to his successor, Professor Siriwat Wongsiri from the Centre of Excellence in Entomology, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
Other new appointments were Dr Jun Nakamura as AAA Secretary General, and Dr Sureerat Deowanish as Treasurer.
