Bees for Development Training Day Outline programme and further details Uganda honey trade project (Bees for Development Journal #84) A new Project aims to increase trade in honey, bringing more income to poor, rural beekeepers. Bees, biodiversity and forest livelihoods in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve This three year project studies the interdependencies between bees, biodiversity and forest livelihoods. This research, supported by the UK Government-funded Darwin Initiative, will take place in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve of the Western Ghats, India, in co-operation with our partners Keystone Foundation and the University of East Anglia. The Project commenced on 1 June 2006. ApiTrade Africa ApiTrade Africa is an emerging network dedicated to promoting trade in African honey and other bee products. Threats to Bee Trees Malaysia's tualang or bee trees face problems that also affect Apis dorsata colonies that nest on the trees.
