Bees for Development - Strengthening livelihoods Course April 2017

United Kingdom

28 April 2017 Bees for Development, 1 Agincourt Street, Monmouth, NP25 3DZ

A Bees for development event

This one-day training is designed for people or organisations with interest to use beekeeping and honey and beeswax trade to alleviate poverty. It is not a hands-on course about bees. We cover the different species of bees that are utilised world-wide, and introduce a range of topics concerning beekeeping in developing countries.

Training day topics:

  • Apiculture in developing countries and how it supports livelihoods
  • Problems faced by beekeepers in financially poor countries
  • Appropriate and sustainable - issues of technology choice
  • An introduction to honey marketing and trade
  • Case studies: success stories from around the world

The Course cost is £120 including lunch and refreshments (VAT incl.)  Booking can be made via our Online Store

Please note that in the rare event that we do not have enough participants on this Course to cover the costs, we reserve the right to cancel or change the date. This is an action we take very reluctantly and refunds will be offered to anyone who has already paid, if an alternative date cannot be found.
