In 1923 Rudolf Steiner stated that, within 50-80 years, we would see the consequences of mechanising the forces that had previously operated organically in the hive.
Steiner began this series of lectures on bees in response to a question from an audience of workers at the Goetheanum. Eight of the lectures were delivered by Steiner and describe the unconscious wisdom of the hive and its connection to our experience of health, culture, and the cosmos. Thomas Braatz contributes in this latest edition.
